"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in... Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these, My brethren, you did it to Me." -Matthew 25:35, 40

The Salem Baptist Church Food Pantry |
Now operating in its 17th year, the Salem Pantry serves over 3,200 households each year.
Food products distributed through the food pantry program are received via 1) the United States Department of Agriculture, 2) Nebraska Food Bank, 3) financial donations which fund the purchase of items from Nebraska Food Bank or from grocery retailers or wholesalers, and 4) corporate donations.
The Salem Food Pantry is a member organization of the Omaha Food Pantry Association, a network of organizations in the Omaha area with food distribution programs. Individuals needing food assistance must be referred by a recognized social service or community agency and may be granted assistance one time during a 90-day period (including pantry goods received from other member organizations). Eligible members of Salem Baptist Church presently receive assistance without an agency referral.
