Senior PastorRev. Dr. Selwyn Q. BachusRev. Dr. Selwyn Q. Bachus was born in Helena, Arkansas but relocated shortly after with his family to Kansas City, Kansas, where his father still serves as pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Pastor Bachus accepted Christ at an early age and accepted his “call to the ministry” while a freshman in college. The former public elementary school teacher originally decided to work part-time in the ministry, but sensed the call to further prepare himself for full-time ministry. Pastor Bachus received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Emporia State University, the Master of Divinity from the School of Theology of Virginia Union University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and the Doctorate of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary of Dayton, Ohio. Pastor Bachus served as the Senior Pastor of First Union Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia and the Shiloh Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio before being called as Senior Pastor of Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. He is married to the former Marla Shirley and has two sons: Selwyn Q. Bachus II and Myles Christian Jerome Bachus. Pastor Bachus is a firm believer that a strong intimate relationship with God combined with a commitment to education has helped him to achieve in his life and he readily recommends this to today’s youth. Pastor Bachus was recognized as one of the top 20 young pastors to watch in the nation by the African-American Pulpit Journal (Summer 2005). This year he will celebrate his 7th Anniversary as Senior Pastor of Salem and 27 years of preaching. Discipleship PastorPastor Patrick JonesPastor Jones is a native of Montpelier, VA. He received a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech as well as the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from the Samuel D. Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. Pastor Jones is married to the former Alicia Shelley and has two children: Mikala and Garrison. |

Youth PastorPastor Lamar PringlePastor Lamar J. Pringle originated from Canton, Ohio, where he went to School at Washington High, and accepted his calling after attending college at Purdue University and Tiffin University. Pastor Pringle has spoken, lectured and trained youth from all parts of the country, and has served with his Uncle in ministry for several years. He recently moved to Omaha with his Wife; LaQisha and daughters Nesya and Imri. Pastor Pringle is currently enrolled in the Eastern University Master’s Program in Urban Studies. Pastor Pringle, is an energetic, relational Pastor that takes pride in meeting youth where they are at, and encouraging them to grow in their Faith. |

Minister of Music and Fine ArtsAnanias “Markey” MontagueAnanias “Markey” Montague was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He has worked with Richard Smallwood, Ricky Dillard, Kim McFarland, Lyle Lovett and many others. He has also toured Europe spreading the Gospel through song. Ananias is currently working on a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Biblical Studies. His motto is “Be authentic in everything”. |

Director of Operations and FinanceAdonica BanksA native of St. Louis, Missouri, Adonica Banks joined Salem Baptist Church in 1996 after relocating to Omaha, Nebraska. She currently serves as the Multi-Media Ministry Staff Leader and is devoted to sharing the spirit of Jesus’ excellence through teamwork and positive leadership. Adonica is an active community volunteer and has Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a double Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. Adonica is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. |

Executive Assistant to the Senior PastorBenitta EvansBenitta is a native of East St. Louis, Illinois and joined Salem in 2001. She previously served as the Salem Children’s Center Director for five years. Benitta has a dual Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Benitta is married to Aaron Evans and they have two children; Sydney and Quincy. Benitta is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. |
