Rev. Dr. Jarvis A. Ellis Sr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia but relocated shortly after with his family to Macon, Georgia. Dr. Ellis accepted Christ at an early age and accepted his “call to the ministry” while a sophomore in high school. Dr. Ellis knowing that a “call to ministry” was also a call to prepare himself educationally for full time ministry. Dr. Ellis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Paine College in Augusta, Georgia, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling & Theological Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee, a Pastoral Leadership Cohort Certificate from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Presently Dr. Ellis serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of the 2300-member congregation of Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to his kingdom and legacy assignment at Salem, Dr. Ellis faithfully served congregations in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Dayton, Ohio. And because of Dr. Ellis’ anointed, innovative and transformative leadership, all churches experienced astronomical growth spiritually, financially and numerically. Dr. Ellis is a lifelong and diehard Atlanta Falcons fan and fraternally, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. Although Pastor Ellis is a man who loves God, ministry and his community, his greatest achievement is his family. Pastor Ellis is blessed to share each day of his life with his beautiful wife, best friend, and high school sweetheart, Malloree and together they are the proud parents of one son, Jarvis Armard Ellis II. Together they serve in ministry and currently live in Omaha, Nebraska. For all the above, Pastor Ellis gives God complete glory!
